Love God, Serve Others and Grow Together

At Baker Memorial UMC

Baker Memorial UMC offers a number of educational opportunities for adults. Learning doesn’t stop just because you’re past college age. Attend an Adult Education class this week!

There is a place for everyone here.

Sunday Classes

  • At 9am the Adult Bible Study meets in the church Parlor for fellowship, prayers and the study of the Word of God. There is no outside reading or homework and anyone is free to attend when he or she can. Drop in just once-you’ll be glad you did!
  • At 10:30am the Faith Quest class meets in the Baker Parlor.  The class engages in a number of topics of study, and the curriculum rotates between video and Bible studies, all relating to living a Christian life in today’s world.

Weekday Adult Studies

  • Deborah by the Palm Bible Study –  Homework isn’t just for kids! It’s time to start hitting the books. This one hour study led by Paula Hall will be offered again during the school year. Contact the church office to sign up.
  • Men’s Bible Study – These bright-and-early-in-the-morning guys meet year-round at 7am Thursday for study, coffee, pastries  and fellowship. Topics may vary from week to week. Please join us!

Immerse Bible Discussion Groups

Reading the Bible alone can be a challenge, so join an Immerse Bible Discussion Group and read it in the comfortable company of others. All are invited, even if you haven’t been to any of the previous Immerse discussion groups. There are many insights to be found, but only if you choose to participate.

There are groups almost every day of the week. Contact Alan McCurdy at 847-309-6904 or amccurdy@valdeseng.com.

*Due to current COVID guidelines, groups may not be meeting in person. Contact the church office for information.
